About

Dr. Ali Saloda resident of Udaipur, Rajasthan is currently a 1st year PG Resident in the Dept. of Anaesthesia at HIMSR and HAHC Hospital. He did his MBBS from College of Medical Sciences Bharatpur (Nepal), Manipal and cleared the NEET PG exam with a score of 538 in 1st attempt and opted to pursue his post-graduation in MD Anaesthesia.

He maintains a fine balance between academics and extracurricular and has been a member of his college’s various sports teams during his under-graduation. He has also been a part of the Prawaha Welfare programme for blood donation and served as an active member of the rescue team during the devastating earthquake in Nepal.

Apart from academics, Dr. Ali is a passionate cricket and lawn tennis player having represented his college at various inter-college tournaments.

At HIMSR he has participated and stood amongst top 5 in the Healthcare safety day poster competition. He was integral part of the organizing team for CME on World Patient Safety Day.

Also he participated as a delegate in the 59th Annual Conference of ISA Delhi Chapter

He actively participates in Mortality Meetings and presents seminars in the department.

Thesis topic: Comparison of the efficacy of ultrasound-guided erector spinae plane block (ESPB) performed with different concentrations of bupivacaine for postoperative analgesia, reduction in perioperative stress markers and patient satisfaction in laparoscopic cholecystectomy patients: a prospective, randomized, double blind, controlled clinical trial

The endeavor of the thesis topic find out whether ESPB is effective in post-operative pain management in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy surgeries and to assess the effective dose of bupivacaine. If found effective, ESPB will provide a useful alternative in patients where NSAIDs, opioids and other analgesics are not desirable.
