About
Dr. Vindu Amitabh graduated with distinction in M.B.B.S in 1980 from L.N. MITHILA UNIVERSITY, DARBHANGA, Bihar. He then completed Post graduate in M.D. Medicine from L.N. MITHILA UNIVERSITY, DARBHANGA, Bihar in 1985. He did DTCD (CHEST ) in 2003 from PATNA MEDICAL COLLEGE. Dr. Amitabh worked in Indira Gandhi institute of medical sciences , Patna before joining as medicine specialist at Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi through the UPSC selection. He became consultant and Head of Department of Nephrology in 2008. After his Superannuation from Safdarjung in 2016, he joined as professor, Department of Medicine at HIMSR and HAHC hospital and is continuing till date. He has a total teaching experience of around 30 years. He has been a Guide of M.D. and DNB students in General Medicine and has also been an external examiner in various medical colleges and has also been DNB examiner for Medicine. He was a WHO – FELLOW in 2005. Was nominated member DCGI by Government of India. He was part of Medical Unit of Prime Minister of India.
