HEALTH CENTERS

URBAN HEALTH TRAINING CENTRE

Location: Pul Prahladpur, South East Delhi, New Delhi

Services:

  • It provides comprehensive health care to the community and caters to a population of 50,000
  • Demographic population profile is being prepared on user friendly computer software for early identification/need for management of any health-related event and services
  • Maternal and child health services under RMNCH+ Programme–Antenatal, postnatal and immunization services.
  • Laboratory services
  • Immunization services – Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • Family Planning services
  • Health education to the community
  • School health services in the schools located in the catchment area
  • Conducting public health research.

RURAL HEALTH TRAINING CENTRE

Location: Madanpur Khadar Village, South East Delhi, New Delhi.

Services:

  • It provides comprehensive health care to the community and caters to a population of 1,00,000
  • National programmes are being implemented in catchment area through centre with the involvement of students and health care staff.
  • Demographic population profile is being prepared on user friendly computer software for early identification/need for management of any health-related event and services
  • Maternal and child health services under RMNCH+ Programme–Antenatal, postnatal and immunization services.
  • Laboratory services
  • Immunization services – Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • Family Planning services
  • Health education to the community
  • School health services in the schools located in the catchment area

Annual Reports

Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research situated at Hamdard Nagar was formed in the year 2012. A year after its establishment, a Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC) was started at Madanpur Khadar and Urban Health Training Centre(UHTC) at Pul-Prahladpur  to provide promotive and curative services to the population.

EWS OPD

The Department of Community Medicine at HIMSR, Delhi, launched the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) OPD on August 21st. This initiative by HIMSR and HAHC Hospital aims to offer comprehensive healthcare to economically weaker section patients. The EWS OPD is equipped with a team of three dedicated residents and a nursing staff.  Patients are provided free registration service, free OPD consultations, medicines, and investigations. Referrals for specialized care will be provided when needed. Our goal is to enhance accessibility to fair and affordable healthcare services for all patients.

Training Sessions:

  1. A NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) Training sessions are conducted regularly in community Medicine department for all healthcare staff, It serves as a pivotal platform for healthcare professionals and organizations seeking to elevate their standards of care and operational efficiency. This training plays a crucial role in promoting a culture of quality, safety, and patient-centric care within the healthcare sector.Centre Staff and Residents in a NABH-related workshop benefit from interactive sessions, expert insights, and practical guidance aimed at understanding and implementing NABH standards effectively. Key roles of this workshop include:
    1. Education and Awareness: The workshop educates participants about NABH standards, guidelines, and the accreditation process, fostering a deeper understanding of quality healthcare principles.
    2. Skill Enhancement: It equips healthcare professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge, encouraging continuous quality improvement. 
    3. Compliance and Certification: Guides healthcare facilities towards achieving NABH accreditation, signifying a commitment to high standards of patient care, safety, and operational efficiency.
    4. Best Practices Sharing: Participants have the opportunity to share best practices and real-world experiences, promoting a collaborative learning environment.
