How admission works

Four stages, in order. The authoritative version is in the prospectus and the documents below — read them before you act on anything else.

  1. 01

    Qualify NEET-PG 2026

    A valid NEET-PG 2026 rank is the entry requirement for every MD/MS seat in India.

  2. 02

    Register for counselling

    Register and fill choices in the MCC counselling at mcc.nic.in, as notified by the competent authority.

  3. 03

    Receive your allotment

    If HIMSR is allotted to you, download the allotment letter and note the reporting deadline.

  4. 04

    Report and enrol

    Report on campus with the original documents, signed undertakings and the prescribed fee.

All 49 seats are pooled in the All India Quota and allotted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS, GOI on NEET-PG merit — the institute has no role in counselling or allotment. Dates, eligibility and the seat matrix are governed by NMC and the counselling authority; always confirm against their official notifications. This page mirrors the documents HIMSR publishes, not the counselling schedule.
