Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research and it’s associated HAH Centenary Hospital Guru Ravidas Marg, Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi is accredited with NABH and NABL.

We are looking for the post of Counsellor for Mental Health and Well-Being Centre in the Psychiatry Department. (Eligible candidates are invited to apply for this post at HIMSR on contractual basis).

The specification for the post is as under:

Qualification
  • Graduation or Master’s degree in Psychology (regular mode) any recognized institute of India.
  • Background in counselling.
  • Research knowledge related to the field.

Relevant Experience   2-5 years
Salary   30,000/- negotiable as per experience
Role and Responsibilities

 
  • Provide individual counseling sessions for students/staff experiencing stress, anxiety, adjustment issues, interpersonal conflicts, and mild to moderate emotional concerns.
  •  Conduct preliminary psychological assessments and refer cases requiring specialized psychiatric or clinical psychologist for clinical intervention to the Department of Psychiatry.
  •  Assist in organizing mental health awareness programs, workshops, and well-being initiatives.
  •  Maintain confidential case record in accordance with institutional and ethical guidelines.
  • Support crisis intervention under the guidance of the supervising Clinical Psychologist.
  • Participate in case discussions and review meetings with the Department of Psychiatry.
  • Promote preventive mental health strategies within the institution.

General Conditions:

  1. The Institute reserves the right not to fill-up the vacancies if the circumstances so warrant and to call only short-listed candidates for test/interview.

  • Bio-data (highlighting personal details, academic records, teaching and research experience) in prescribed form.
  • Self-attested copies of certificates & testimonials in support of qualification and experience.
  1. Candidates are advised to give specific, correct, full Information. All original certificate/documents in support of information furnished in the Bio-data are to be produced at the time of verification of documents, failing which the candidate will be disqualified. Candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process of after recruitment or joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or is not found in conformity with eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
  2. Documents received after the closing date will not be entertained.
  3. Any canvassing, directly or indirectly, by the applicant will disqualify his/her candidature.
