He in his presentation explaind   how ZMC plays an important role in maintaining the structure of the face. ZMC fracture usually leads to local depressed deformities, even dysfunction such mouth opening and diplopia. This patient of ZMC fracture had tenderness, ecchymosis and edema over the malar prominence, lateral orbit, upper and lower eyelids, loss of malar projection, and blunting of the lateral canthus related to the unaffected side. Paresthesia was seen in the region of the infraorbital nerve. The patient had diplopia and enophthalmos. Reduction was performed for the displaced fracture which resulted in trismus, contour asymmetry or significant orbital floor disruption. The Zygomatico maxillary buttress was accessed through a gingivo buccal sulcus incision. This incision was typically made 5 mm superior to the mucogingival junction through the mucosa and then the periosteum.Reduction was performed for the displaced and fracture part. And was secured by the stainless steel/ Titanium plates.
