Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research and it’s associated HAH Centenary Hospital Guru Ravidas Marg, Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi is accredited with NABH and NABL.

We are looking for the Blood Bank Technician in the Department of (Pathology) (Early/Immediate Joiners are welcome to apply).

The specification for the post is as under:

Qualification BMLT in Blood Bank Technology from Govt. Recognized University Institution in India.
Relevant Experience 1-2 years
Salary 21,000 negotiable as per experience
Job Description

 
  • Preparing the patient physically and psychologically before drawing blood from the patient.
  • Take history and consent of the donor as well as recipient before performing the procedure.
  • Checking the vitals as recorded and documented by the nurse.
  • Receiving blood samples from the wards for the inpatients along with the requisition form and performing grouping, cross matching etc.
  • Collection of blood from the donor and performing processing, labelling and documentation of the same.
  • Storage of the blood units in the department and issuing on the request through requisition form.
  • Regular checking of the machines for uninterrupted working and shelf life of samples/units
  • Preparation of the blood components in the lab.
  • Managing and checking for the condition of the reagents and blood units that they are in compatible condition.
  • Testing blood group for antigen and antibody identification and performing HIV on the samples.
  • Supervise the cleanliness of the department.
  • Preparing monthly indent for the materials and consumables required in the department.

General Conditions:

  1. The Institute reserves the right not to fill-up the vacancies if the circumstances so warrant and to call only short-listed candidates for test/ interview.

All original certificates/documents in support of information furnished in the application form are to be produced at the time of verification of documents, failing which the candidate will be disqualified. Candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or after recruitment or joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or is not found in conformity with eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
  5. Documents received after the closing date will not be entertained.
