The occasion was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Farzana Islam (HOD, Community Medicine), Prof. (Dr.) Sabina Khan (HOD, Pathology), and Prof. (Dr.) Omar Javed Shah (Gastrosurgery). Faculty members, students, and staff actively participated, promoting awareness on voluntary blood donation and safe transfusion practices.
Under the Organizing Team and Supervision, the camp was guided by Dr. Richa (Assistant Professor, Community Medicine), Dr. Arushi (Senior Resident, Pathology), and Dr. Shaan (Associate Professor, Pathology). Dr. Aafreen (PG Resident, Community Medicine) and Dr. Abusufiyan (Junior Resident, Pathology) supervised the event on-site and led by example by donating blood themselves. Logistical arrangements were efficiently handled by Dr. Amir, Dr. Aanchal, and Dr. Henna (PGs, Community Medicine), along with Dr. Ariba and Dr. Farhan (PGs, Pathology).
Camp Outcomes: A total of 27 individuals were screened, with 19 voluntary registrations, 12 successful donations, and 7 deferred donors. The drive successfully mobilized volunteers and reinforced HIMSR’s commitment to community health and service.
