MOSQUITO CONTROL AWARENESS PROGRAM HELD AT HAHC HOSPITAL

On 07.08.2025, the Department of Community Medicine, HIMSR & HAHC Hospital organized a mosquito control awareness program at the Infection Control Unit for 30 housekeeping staff of the Lisner Department. The session covered source reduction, chemical and biological control, personal protection, and community involvement to prevent dengue, malaria, and chikungunya. Practical tips included removing stagnant water, covering containers, using larvicides, and maintaining cleanliness. Speakers were Health Inspectors Mr. Mohammad Rizwan and Mr. Gaurishankar, with guests of honor Dr. Uvaissh Khan and Mr. Ashish, and contributions from Sister Nisha Thakur, Mr. Sandeep, and Mr. Prakash Kumar. Guided by Dr. Farzana Islam, Dr. Aqsa Sheikh, Dr. Mohammad Rashid, and Dr. Mustaq Ul Islam, the session reinforced the need for sustained mosquito control efforts in hospitals and communities.
