Dr. Yasir Alvi, MBBS, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Medicine at the HIMSR, New Delhi. He is a public health researcher, epidemiologist, and academician with more than 10 years of experience in teaching, patient care, operational research, and health system strengthening.

Dr. Alvi serves as the Member Secretary of the Institutional Ethics Committee and the Nodal Officer for the NTEP at HIMSR. A seasoned researcher with H-index of 10, Dr. Alvi has authored 45 peer-reviewed publications and is the author of the book Biostatistics Manual for Health Research published by Elsevier. His work spans tuberculosis, infectious disease epidemiology, HIV/AIDS, health systems, public policy, and mental health. He has led or contributed to over 15 research projects funded by WHO, ICMR, THSTI, The Union, and HSTP.
