HIMSR Represents India at the WHO Regional Meeting on Pandemic Preparedness and Unity Studies

Prof. Farzana Islam, Head, Department of Community Medicine, represented the Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (HIMSR), New Delhi, at the Annual Regional Review Meeting on Pandemic Influenza Preparedness (PIP) Partnership Contribution, Preparedness and Resilience for Emerging Threats (PRET), and Unity Studies Implementation in the WHO South-East Asia Region, held in Malé, Maldives, from 18th to 22nd October, 2026. The five-day meeting brought together representatives from WHO Headquarters, WHO SEARO, WHO country offices and participating countries to strengthen pandemic preparedness, national respiratory pathogen preparedness and response plans, health emergency workforce capacity and collaborative research readiness.
