About

A total teaching experience of 6 years which includes teaching MBBS, B.Sc. (Paramedical) and B.Sc. (Nursing) students. Teaching includes both theory and practical. Theory includes problem/Case based learning and tutorials for undergraduate – MBBS, B.Sc. (Paramedical) and B.Sc. (Nursing) students along with conducting of postgraduate group discussions, and presentation of journal clubs, symposia, and seminars. Involvement in creation of multicomponent case-based learning exercises for undergraduates. Practical include demonstration of practical and conduct of practical exercises for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

My main body of work is in the field of ‘Pain assessment and transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS)’in chronic pain conditions. My MD thesis work was based on the “Effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in chronic tension-type headache”. I have special interest in head and facial pain disorders and have worked on migraine and trigeminal neuralgia as well. Besides therapeutic intervention I have been actively involved in pain assessment using both subjective and objective tests and measures of corticomotor excitability using TMS.
