REPORT ON THE SUCCESSFUL CONDUCTION OF CME CUM WORKSHOP ON ESSENTIAL SUTURING SKILLS: PRINCIPLES & PRACTICE

The Department of Ophthalmology successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program cum Workshop on “Essential Suturing Skills: Principles & Practice” under the guidance of Prof. & HOD Dr. Taskin khan. The session was attended by postgraduate residents, Senior Residents, Optometrists and Faculty members. The event aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and hands-on surgical implementation for residents. A comprehensive lecture covering the core principles of suturing was delivered by Dr.Sadaf Huda followed by an intensive hands-on training in micro suturing techniques critical for ophthalmic surgeries.
The core highlight of the event was the interactive wet lab session, led by Dr. Sadaf Huda & Dr.Khwaja Muqsith Moinuddin transforming theoretical concepts into practical skills using functional operating microscope and specialized training models.
The event successfully met its milestones, standardizing essential micro suturing techniques and instilling surgical precision in the next generation of eye surgeons at HIMSR & HAHC Hospital.
